My client is a fast-growing SaaS platform in the food tech space, with their product actively used by thousands of businesses. They're building out their data platform from the ground up and need someone to help shape it.

The Role

A broad, high-ownership position sitting across data engineering and AI/ML. You'll be one of the key people designing the data architecture and building the ML and GenAI solutions that feed directly into the product. Expect autonomy — this role suits someone who can drive projects independently from brief to deployment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and implementing the data architecture underpinning a new internal data platform

• Building ML models for sales prediction, lead generation, and product optimisation

• Developing and integrating GenAI/LLM solutions into the product ecosystem

• Creating dashboards and data visualisations for actionable business insights

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into the platform

What They're Looking For

• 5+ years in data engineering and machine learning

• Strong expertise across data engineering, data modelling, and AI/ML

• Hands-on experience with GenAI and LLMs in production

• Proficient in Python and SQL

• Cloud experience — AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Comfortable owning projects end-to-end with minimal hand-holding

• Food tech background is a plus, not a must
