Enterprise Technical Architect Hove 6 Month Contract £Attractive Rates Profile: We are embarking on a large, complex transformation programme to migrate aging, legacy mainframe applications to modern technology and also to migrate the complex, monolith Java enterprise application to service based application. This programme will follow agile delivery method with remote working model collaborating with offshore development teams. We are looking for experienced Java enterprise professionals with leadership skills to mentor, influence and lead the technology transformation. Job overview: The Senior Enterprise Architect needs to apply vast experience of system architectures, application technologies, data architectures, and infrastructures to support key strategic IT initiatives. The candidate must apply their knowledge of IT best practices appropriately to define Enterprise IT solutions. The individual must possess the ability to analyse solutions and technologies and recommend modifications based on knowledge of the organization's current and future needs. The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to: reviewing business and technical requirements, focusing on solution development throughout the project lifecycle, supporting development and testing activities, evangelizing best practices and proven patterns, and escalating architecture issues and concerns. The candidate will create architectures and designs, will conduct peer reviews, and will develop target state architectures. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Job Requirement (Must have skills to be minimally qualified) • Technical Architect with expertise in Core Java, JEE and open source frameworks. 8+ years of experience as Architect with overall 15+ years of IT experience. • Must be very hands on and ready to wear several hats – Application Architect, Solutions Architect, Technology Guru and Technical Leader • Expertise in defining current and target state architectures, transition architectures and roadmaps • Experience in Enterprise Architecture frameworks like TOGAF, DoDAF, FEAF etc • Experience in using Architecture Modelling tools like Mega, IBM System Architect, Troux, Rational Software Architect etc • Hands-on Java design and development implementing Java open source frameworks (i.e., Spring, Hibernate etc.) • Experience with application servers and containers such as IBM WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, Oracle Application Server Desired Skills: • Insurance domain experience preferable. • Experience in Micro-services and Dev Ops. • Comfortable working with remote teams • Proven background in performance optimizations such as improving scalability, availability, throughput, failover, etc. • Ability to work with both senior management level executives and development teams • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills Please be advised if you haven’t heard from us within 48 hours then unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion, we may however keep your details on file for any suitable future vacancies and contact you accordingly.
